The Long Arm of the Lawn

You may think the title is a typo. It isn't. This is not a game about the British police force (the long arm of the law) but instead a game about a garden lawn from which a giant arm has sprouted. The game takes place in inner city London. The lawn in question is your typical front garden lawn. Unfortunately however it is situated in front of a house that is next door to a homeless shelter. Hundreds of London's homeless men and women come to the shelter every night but beds are limited. As a result many are turned away and naturally they look for somewhere comfortable to sleep nearby, your masters lawn for instance. As the player you must take control of the giant robotic arm and forcibly eject any homeless people that try to rest their head on it. You can remove them in several amusing ways including (but not limited to):

• Picking them up and gently setting them aside (boring!).
• Picking them up and flinging them across the street.
• Flicking them away with your turbo charged index finger.
• Sliding their cardboard mattress' out from under them.
• Leaving a trail of food or drink to lure them off the lawn.

Occasionally people will drop spare change as you remove them. At the end of each night the wave of hobos will stop which gives you the opportunity to fortify your defenses. You can spend the spare change you have collected at the local garden center. There you can purchase items such as plants, privet hedges, fences and even cacti in order to help you through the next night. You can also spend the change at an electrical retailer to upgrade your robotic arm. All in all "The Long Arm of the Lawn" is a ridiculous free game with some surprisingly fun gameplay. If it sounds like it's up your street keep your ear to the ground as it's scheduled for release later this year.
