Mahjong is an ancient Chinese board game. According to myth the game was developed by Confucius in 500 BC. The board is populated by 136 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols. To complete the game the player must remove all of these tiles from the board. Tiles can only be removed in pairs and you cannot remove a tile that has another tile on top. This means that you will need to plan out which tiles to remove first so that you don't get stuck with an important tile pinned down under another. This free web game version contains a classic Mahjong board set up. There are no time limits so you can enjoy the game at your own pace. A game of Mahjong is an excellent mental exercise and also a good way to unwind. Play a game today then come back another day to see if you can improve on your speed and efficiency.
