How to Play Angry Birds Online
Aim of Angry Birds Online
In Angry Birds Online you must use your mouse to control a slingshot and sling an angry bird at various structures with the aim of killing the evil green pigs who are stealing your eggs. You can kill the pigs either by hitting them with the angry birds or by making the structures collapse on them. You will be awarded a number of stars for completing each level based on how many points you achieve. The maximum number of stars you can get for completing a level of angry birds online is three stars.
As you advance through Angry Birds online different types of birds become available for you to use and you will encounter different types of pig to destroy.
Types of Angry Birds
Red Birds - Red birds are ordinary angry birds with no special skills
Blue Bird - Although Blue birds are the weakest of the angry birds they have the ability to separate into three separate birds when fired in the air. Due to their relative weakness they are best used to destroy glass.
Yellow Bird - Yellow birds can speed up whilst in the air to cause maximum damage. Yellow birds work well against wood but aren't so good against ice.
Black Bird - Black birds can explode and are the second strongest bird. They are good at destroying stone and concrete if aimed directly at the structure. Black birds explode two seconds after impact.
White Bird - White birds are physically weak but can drop explosive eggs onto structures and pigs.
Boomerang Bird - Boomerang birds can swap direction in mid air. Boomerang birds are good against wood and ice but aren't so good against stone.
Big Brother Bird - Big Brother bird is a larger version of the classic red angry bird. Due to its large size it has considerable strength. Big brother birds can easily smash through concrete and can generally annihilate anything in its path.
Mighty Eagle - A Mighty eagle can be used once a hour to clear any uncompleted levels. The Mighty Eagle is the strongest of all the angry birds.
Know Thy Enemy - Types of Pig
Much like the birds in angry birds online, the pigs also appear in different sizes and strengths. In Angry Birds Online you will be awarded 5,000 points for each pig that you destroy. To clear a level, you must destroy all the green pigs.
Small Pig - Small pigs are the first pig encountered in angry birds. Small pigs are the weakest variety of pig and can be destroyed by a falling wooden structure or by falling off their structure.
Medium Pig - Medium pigs are larger and stronger than the small pig although they can still be destroyed by all of the angry birds.
Large Pig - Large pigs are stronger than the small and medium pigs.
Helmet Pigs - Helmet pigs wear stone helmets and are stronger than the small, medium and large pigs so can take a lot more damage. Helmet pigs are the main enemy of the angry birds in the first easier levels of each theme.
Moustache Pigs - Moustache pigs are the second strongest pig in the game and are considered to be the right hand men (or pigs!) of King Pig. They can sustain more damage than the Helmet pigs so you need to do much more to destroy them.
King Pig - King pig is the strongest of all the pigs and is the main enemy of the angry birds. There is only one King Pig so it is the rarest pig that you will encounter whilst playing Angry Birds.
Episodes, Themes and Levels
Angry Birds Online has the first 21 levels of the Angry birds Poached Egg episode for you to play. The original Angry Birds game developed by Rovio Mobile for the iphone is a huge game which is divided into episodes, which are further divided into themed chapters, which are all divided into levels. Angry Birds is constantly being developed and new updates are regularly released.
Angry Birds is the original angry birds game. To date, six episodes have been released containing a total of 258 levels.
Poached Eggs - Three themed chapters, each with 21 levels.
Mighty Hoax - Two themed chapters, each with 21 levels.
Danger Above - Three themed chapters, each with 15 levels.
The Big Setup - Three themed chapters, each with 15 levels.
Ham 'Em High - Three wild west themed chapters, each with 15 levels.
Mine and Dine - Three underground mining themed chapters, each with 15 levels.
In addition to all of the above themes Angry Birds also features a Golden Egg feature which requires you to find all of the golden eggs throughout the game that unlock bonus content when found.
Angry Birds Seasons
In addition to the main Angry Birds game several seasonal editions of the game have also been released.
